BJ Cole appears on Duotone's album!
Rated as one of the best Pedal Steel players in the world, BJ Cole recently worked with Duotone on the title track for the new album 'Work Harder & one day you'll find her' which will be released trough Garrett Brown Music on the 31st October 2009. The album will be available to buy from the GBM shop as from the 1st November.
'The Young Women's Music Project'

The Imagined Village recently completed a successful tour of the UK with a sell out shows including one at Birmingham Town Hall (pictured above). The IV set also featured a track by Duotone, (featuring Eliza Carthy), watch this space for a special download of the live version of 'Golden Hair Saved My Life' from Duotone's album 'Work Harder & One Day You'll Find Her'.

The debut album from Duotone was launched on the 31st October at the Electric Palace in Bridport. The night was a complete success with a stunning performance from Trio Hysteria and a captivating set from Duotone featuring James Garrett.

Two new albums from GBM!
Garrett Brown Music is due to release two new albums from both Duotone and Trio Hysteria.

DUOTONE EP

Also recorded and mixed by Rob Harbron, this EP includes the track ‘Katherine’s Wheel’, which wowed audiences as a solo piece played by Barney in the Imagined Village set on tour last year. Jim Dvorak adds haunting trumpet to Duotone’s wistful sound.
‘Duotone, who provides his own band by means of cello, guitar and loop station. His layering of delicate riffs and clever use of timing and dynamics creates waves of textured sound - his frail, haunting vocal floating on top or digging deep beneath. The room is noticeably quieter as the elbow-to-elbow audience listens in awe’. Daily Information.
